There are two types of Marketing Traditional and Digital.


Traditional Marketing
Traditional marketing utilizes strategies like direct marketing, TV, Radio, Mail, Print Advertisiting and printed promotional materials.


Pros of Traditional Marketing:
  • Traditional methods may be the only means of reaching your paticular group of consumers
  • Person to person selling is considered by many a stretagy of traditionalmarketing.There is defently a time and place when this type of direct selling is the most effective wayto makret a productor service.
Cons of Traditional Marketing

  • It can be expensive, purchasing advertising for TV, Radio or print can be very costly, priniting hard copy brochures
  • Difficult to track results
  • Usually requires outside help i.e priniting materials, buying media and creating radio advertisments all require hiring outside help, which adds costs
  • Traditional marketing is usually forced upon the consumer, they dont neccessarily ask for it.
Digital Marketing
Digital marketing which is also known as internet marketing, web marketing, online marketing or e-marketing is about marketing products or services over the internet or via mobile technology.

Pros of Digital Marketing
  • It is inexpensive for the target audience numbers involved
  • You can create instant campaigns to address hot topics
  • You can try different forms of advertisiting and asses the results
  • You can monitor responses to ad campaigns at a click of a mouse
  • You can see exactly how many people opened an e-newsletter and when, and what futher action they took
Cons of Digital Marketing
  • There are many legal issues to consider, as compilance varies according to your location and the techniques used
  • It can be wasted on customers with limited or no internet connectivity
  • There is still no ability to touch or smell products online 
  • You are dependent on your customers technology, thier computer and internet connections are outside your control
